For over 40 years, the University of Evansville’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program has been preparing graduates to successfully work in a complex and ever-changing healthcare environment.

Over the course of three years or nine semesters, students receive a blend of professional studies and clinical training to develop technical, critical thinking, compassionate care, and leadership skills. Students spend several hours in a state-of-the-art facility that allows program material to be offered in a real-world and modern format. Through classroom learning, labs, and clinical internships, graduates will have the ability to transform lives and promote human health and patient function.

The Department of Physical Therapy is committed to providing quality physical therapy education, service, and research. The University of Evansville’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program meets the educational requirements for its graduates to take the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for professional licensure in each of the 50 states within the United States, including Indiana. Since state regulations can occasionally change, prospective students who do not reside in Indiana are encouraged to contact the applicable licensing board in their home state to determine whether the program meets the requirements for licensure in their state of residence.
